On May 12, 2016, the Beanstalk Education Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Pukou District Education Commission in Nanjing to officially launch BIBS Nanjing Campus and therefore bringing a unique education option for the local community in Nanjing, capital of the affluent and modern Jiangsu Province.
Nanjing has long been a major cultural, educational, political and economic center and the Pukou District, with its long history, is embracing contemporary opportunities for expansion and development. Upholding the principle of building Pukou into a state-of-the-art and international education center, the Pukou District government pledges to provide comprehensive support for Beanstalk’s expansion efforts in the Pukou District of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Beanstalk Founder and Board Chair, Ms. Kathy Shi, is a native of Jiangsu Province and very proud to bring the BIBS stellar education program to her hometown and contribute to the favorable development of children in Jiangsu. She plans to develop BIBS Nanjing Campus into a model international bilingual school for Pukou District and also for the City of Nanjing.
The signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by Mr. Tong Jinzhou, General Manager of Nanjing Pukou State Assets Group, Mr. Song Renrong, Director of Pukou District Education Commission, Mr. Yu Rongguo, Party Secretary of Pukou District Education Commission and Mr. Xu Ronghua, Deputy Director of Pukou District Education Commission.
Ms. Kathy Shi, Mr. Mike Weeks, Vice President, Nathan Pope, Shunyi Campus Principal, Ms. Zheng Xiaoqi, Head of the Board’s Office and Development Director, and Ms. Bai Jie, Administration Director, attended the signing ceremony on behalf of the BIBS side.
Beginning in 1993 with a small international kindergarten, Beanstalk Education Group now consists of six kindergartens, two K-6 campuses, and one K-12 campus.
